My name is Beau Bridgland, I am a University student in England who is just finishing his Summer break to go back for one more year. I just want to say during this summer break (a while ago now, sorry for the lateness of this message) I read your book (the third edition) and I really enjoyed it. It was incredibly useful and was the most thorough voiceover book I've read (and over the last year, particularly this summer, I have read a LOT of voiceover books), it had tons of fantastic information, and the CD was great too.
In particular I like the ABCs. When it comes to interpreting a script, the ABCs are definitely the way I like the most out of what I've seen and heard, and what I will use as I go from consciously incompetent to consciously competent and finally to unconsciously competent. After I'm finished with University, I'm really looking forward to seriously advancing my voiceover career and will refer back to the book many times on the way I'm sure.
Many thanks, and keep up the great work guys. All the best,
Beau Bridgland (student)
My copy of your book just arrived and I'm over the moon! How wonderful! And you're an 11 times Emmy Award winner too! Wow.
Well I'm really impressed, James, by both your credentials and that you were true to your word and your promise to deliver. I very much appreciate it and if there's anything I can do to be of assistance in the future let me know.
All the best with book sales too and I hope it becomes the benchmark bible for the industry.
I'm really looking forward to reading this cover to cover.

Many thanks for sending a personalized copy of the fourth edition of 'The Art of Voice Acting.’ The second edition of this great book has been a prized resource in my studio for a number of years. And, thank you also for asking me to contribute an article. It's my pleasure to share experiences in hopes of helping others make informed decisions. Because of your teachings, I will always 'be in the moment' and 'stay in character.'

Thank you for sending me a copy of your new book! I was so excited to get it from my P.O. Box that I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes looking it over! It looks great and is filled with very useful information. I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing, and hearing the CD. Best Regards,

I just want to thank you SO much for sending me a copy of your beautiful new book. Congratulations! I just received it today! It's gorgeous and I can't wait to sit down and read all the juicy new information. It truly is the bible of the voice-over world! Thank you again also for your vote of confidence in including my segment in the tips and tricks chapter.
Thank you again so very much, and I hope all is wonderfully well with you!

Thanks for getting your new book to me before the Sept. 1st release date! Though I have had precious little time to pour over it, the sections I've read so far have been wonderful. Including Beau's "Beginner's Mind" was just great! It is the linchpin of not only VO but all of life's challenges. And Bill Ratner's contribution was something you know I need to hear on a constant basis. It's the same thing my wife has been telling me for years.
I really look forward to sitting down with this and hitting it cover to cover like I did with the 3rd edition. I'll be recommending this one to the increasing numbers of young people who are asking me (through my website) how to get started in this business. I don't know why, but, yeah, they're asking me. Go figure!
Thanks again for putting this together for all of us and I hope to see you and Penny again real soon.
