I’m so glad I finally did it! It is helping me overcome the fear of putting myself out there.

. . . Thanks again for your help.just wantyou to knowthrilled I am to haveand Penny for my teachers. It's amazing all the new things I walk away with from each class.

Really, you blew me away with your critique.were extremely thorough, and I really liked the extra touch of having Penny join you in the oral critique.thing I have to say:The way you do business feels extremely "personal".(In my opinion, most businesses lack this key ingredient in the way they treat their clients/customers.) I certainly don't feel that I was treated like "just another voice among countless others".(and Penny) really made it obvious that you were talking to ME.Ilike you and Penny really cared about ME and my voice-over pursuits.I received MORE than my money's worth... trust me on that.I truly thank you for your valuable perspective and insight.yes, I hope to incorporate your opinions into a reworking of my CD.

(. . . this workshop) gave me the inspiration and confidence to go out into the world!

I had a fabulous experience working with both of you and the rest of the class! We received such valuable information in just the first session. I am surprised at how easy the A,B,C's are now coming to me, I thought I might have a problem creating the back story. I am looking forward to the next class and will practice my breathing and look over the written material. My passion has been ignited - I feel young again and wide-eyed. As the old tapes and programming slip away, I know my confidence level will rise and my true talent will emerge. I am glad I will be working with both of you on the first part of my journey towards healing and letting loose the right brain side of me.

I've learned an incredible amount from you and James, and I'm looking forward to learning even more in the future. I meant what I said on the first night of class -- I'm doing this because I think it's fun. The day I stop having fun with this is the day I want out of the business. That's why I didn't pursue it in 1990 after my first VO class. The guy who taught the class was a talent agent, and he never let us forget what the odds were against us succeeding. I walked out of the last class discouraged, and I chose not to pursue voice acting while I was in college. In contrast, I walked out of the last AOVA class upbeat, energized and ready to take the next step on that long road towards true voice acting excellence. Thanks again.

Thanks for such a great class. I've always seen voiceover classes advertised in The Reader and such but I've never had the nerve to try one until now. Thanks for making the experience fun and comfortable. I have to admit, even though I've had tons of public performing and speaking experiences, I was a little nervous before I went up to the mic. However, you helped me feel very at ease once I was up there. Thanks again!

If you are serious about giving voice-acting a try, if you ever thought, "Gee, I could be that voice on the radio/tv" or if anyone's ever told you, "You have a great/pleasant voice, you should be on the radio" . . .  then take this class now! This is a well put together class with friendly professional instructors who are in the business. You will learn a lot and you will get time to learn "on" the microphone. You can't beat that!
     Brian Dobler, San Diego, 2002

I was merely curious before – but now I want to learn more, More, MORE! Fun and interesting – I would like to learn about ANY more workshops, classes or publications, magazines, newsletters, etc. about the craft. I had such a blast! I would only wish it to be a longer class! (4 hours – 3 months . . .) just so we don't have to rush. More guest speakers.
     Dave Rivas (4/20/99)

I really enjoyed the series. You are an awesome teacher, director and talented person. The location was great making it feel like a "real studio" situation. Your teaching style is very straight forward, easy to understand, practical and informative. Thank you.

I had a great time in the class! I appreciate your openness and honesty in critiquing. It really opened my eyes to my weaknesses and what I need to work on. I enjoyed working in the studio environment. You made the classes very comfortable and friendly.

I was greatly helped by the aural examples, both on tape and in person. I enjoyed being able to go more in depth by reading corresponding chapters in your book before class and then putting it all into practice in the booth.

I found this class to be very in depth. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the information provided – particularly about the advertising market and commercials. Your criticism is very positive and supportive. I appreciate your style.
