VoiceActing academy is extremely pleased to announce that Gabrielle Nistico of VO Career and VoiceHunter will be coming to San Diego on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 for a one-day intensive on voiceover for Promo and Imaging.

Promo (television) and imaging (radio) are two huge markets in the U.S., alone and should be an important part of your voiceover skill sets. And, just in case you don’t think this is important, take a look at these statistics!:

In the U.S. there are more than...:

  • 14,728 full power radio stations
  • 1,774 full power television stations
  • 10,595 translators and booster stations
  • 2,172 low power TV stations

And these numbers don’t include the literally hundreds of cable, satellite and Internat radio and TV services!

There may be a place for you in the promo and imaging niche of voiceover, but you really need to know what you are doing if you expect to be successful - or even considered - for this very specialized type of work. The business of Promo and Imaging VO work is different from just about every other niche area of voiceover.

During this one-day event, Gabby Nistico will teach you what you need to know to break in to Promo and Imaging voiceover work. You’ll not only learn how the business works, but you’ll also learn, through hands-on experience, what you need to do as a voice actor to work as a Promo or Imaging voice talent.

  • Radio and TV formats
  • Affiliates
  • Network and Cable promo opportunities
  • Copy reading skills
  • Vocal and recording techniques unique to promo and imaging
  • How to negotiate an imaging or promo contract
  • On-mic coaching
  • A copy of’s guide to Breaking into Radio Imaging
  • and much, much more!

You do NOT need any prior broadcasting or radio experience and you do NOT need to do any audio production to work in promo and imaging.

Gabrielle Nistico is recognized as one of the top coaches and casting directors for Promo and Imaging voice talent. On a daily basis, she is in direct contact with top radio, television, and network talent bookers. She is also an accomplished Promo and Imaging voice actor with dozens of radio and television stations across the U.S. as her personal clients. She has helped some of the top promo and imaging voice talent make a name in this unique niche. To say Gabby has a working knowledge of the Promo and Imaging business would be an understatement!

Gabby rarely travels to the West Coast, but she has been a featured presenter at the past three VOICE conventions, so you may have seen her there. But there is absolutely no way a 70 minute seminar can possibly give you everything you need to know about working in Promo and Imaging. We’ve managed to coax Gabby to come to San Diego to give you all the insider details on this potentially lucrative area of voiceover.

But to learn the performing and business skills for Promo and Imaging, you have to learn from someone who knows what they are doing... and Gabby is one of the best!

This very special one-day event is limited to a maximum of 10 participants - and we expect the class to sell out very quickly. You do NOT need to live in San Diego to attend this event.

For those of you who might be traveling from outside San Diego, we have some very affordable accommodations nearby and we can even arrange to pick you up at your hotel on the morning of the workshop, if needed.

If you have ever considered working in Promo or Imaging - or even if you just want to learn more about it, just click on the button to register now!
